My 8yo loves this book and has spent hours looking at the pictures （especially the one that shows all 100 cats）， working out which cats her loved ones would be， which cats are our favourites， etc。 I think any cat lover， big or small， would enjoy this book！

See my full review here: https://www。yabookscentral。com/kidsfi。。。100 CATS is a fun， rhyming adventure of all kinds of cats。 The total number shown is 100， but counting is left to the reader off-page， with a big finale at the end that would be easier for children to use as counting practice。 The book describes each cat with a word or short phrase， such as "high cat， sly cat， hide away shy cat，" with the descriptors appearing at the described cat's location。 The trails of cat descriptions end with See my full review here: https://www。yabookscentral。com/kidsfi。。。100 CATS is a fun， rhyming adventure of all kinds of cats。 The total number shown is 100， but counting is left to the reader off-page， with a big finale at the end that would be easier for children to use as counting practice。 The book describes each cat with a word or short phrase， such as "high cat， sly cat， hide away shy cat，" with the descriptors appearing at the described cat's location。 The trails of cat descriptions end with a short phrase that turns into a rhyme with the next set。What I loved: This was a delightful read with a lot of personality。 The descriptors for the cats are varied and the cartoonish illustrations capture each perfectly。 It is pretty impressive to have come up with so many actions/descriptors， and this is a book to capture young imaginations。 Particular favorites in our house are the "mucky cat" who is tracking food around the house and the "get back in the tub cat，" who has escaped bath time。 Other ones that get a giggle include the cats using the bathroom and the "shred cat， opening your mail" （by tearing it into pieces）。 The last page shows all the cats with the personality shining and asks the readers which cat is theirs。 This is a fun adventure to find the cats you've seen before but also offers the opportunity to practice counting to 100。The text is easy to read throughout， and though some of the directionality is tough to follow （sometimes it goes across the page spread and other times down the page then to the opposite page for reading）， it's a really fun and repetitive read that will work for a wide range of ages。 The illustrations are really fantastic， capturing the essence of each cat with lots of detail and bright colors。Final verdict: 100 CATS is a silly and humorous picture book read that is sure to delight young readers。 This book would work well for toddlers through young elementary school readers。Please note that I received a review copy。 All opinions are my own。 。。。more

Michael White is back with a new 100 animals book， this time 100 cats！After the wonderful and hilarious 100 Dogs I am delighted that there is now a 100 Cats book！ I was definitely doing a happy dance when I spotted it at the library。 I just love cats， though I am allergic to them （so sad）。This one is a wonderfully and delightful funny book with several small， but also big cats。 All sorts of cats make their appearance and they are all doing something cat-like。 Like clawing your couch， being stuck Michael White is back with a new 100 animals book， this time 100 cats！After the wonderful and hilarious 100 Dogs I am delighted that there is now a 100 Cats book！ I was definitely doing a happy dance when I spotted it at the library。 I just love cats， though I am allergic to them （so sad）。This one is a wonderfully and delightful funny book with several small， but also big cats。 All sorts of cats make their appearance and they are all doing something cat-like。 Like clawing your couch， being stuck in a tree， there is a meme cat， careless cat， and many many more cats。 I just laughed so much while reading this one as it was just so silly and funny。 I loved seeing all the different kind of cats， there is so much variety in them。 We see Siamese cats， tabby cats。 I love that the author went did so much research to give each cat their own appearance fitting with what real life cats would look like。 I hope that makes sense。 🙂I guess I will have to read this one again as at the end page we get the question if we found the author’s cat。 While I did see him on the last page， I wonder if that one counts or if that little kitty is somewhere else as well。Just like the 100 Dogs the book is in rhyme and I just love how dynamic and fun it made the book！All in all， I do hope that the author will do another book featuring animals as I want more！ I would also recommend this book to everyone looking for a light and funny read with cute cats and sweet art。Review first posted at https://twirlingbookprincess。com/ 。。。more

100 cats is brilliant。 Great rhymes， catchy rhythm， rich vocab， marvelous illustrations。 Lots to look at， laugh at and count。 Highly recommended。

This was sad。 Poorly conceptionalised and felt repetitive and/or too much of a cop out， just rhyming adjectives。 When the previous book about dogs was incredible。 Disappointed。
